Smart Sense
12W Solar Parking Lot & Area Light
A 12W solar area light for parking areas, campgrounds, RV parks, pathways and other off-grid spaces, combining up to 1,800 lumens, motion-responsive brightness, a 40W solar panel and flexible pole or wall mounting.
SKU: SML-12
Flexible off-grid area lighting with useful control.
The SML-12 combines a substantial solar panel and lithium battery with motion-responsive output, remote control and flexible mounting, making it useful beyond conventional street-light installations.
Up to 1,800 lumens without trenching for electrical power.
The self-contained solar system is well suited to parking areas, campgrounds, RV parks, pathways, entrances and remote spaces where extending mains power would be inconvenient.
Motion-responsive brightness
The light comes on after dark, increases to a brighter level when movement is detected and returns to normal output after movement ceases.
40W solar panel + 10Ah lithium battery
A 40W solar panel feeds the 9.6V 10Ah lithium battery, providing a substantial energy system for a 12W area light.
Pole or wall mounting
Mounting hardware is included for installation on a wall or on poles from 8 to 18 feet tall and up to 2.25 inches in diameter.
Remote control with six settings
The included remote provides six lighting settings, making the fixture easier to adapt to different locations and operating needs.

01 Where can the 12W Solar Parking Lot & Area Light be used?
It is suited to parking areas, campgrounds, RV parks, campsites, pathways, entrances, parks, small private roads and other outdoor spaces where grid power is unavailable or inconvenient.
Its flexible wall or pole mounting also makes it useful where a conventional street-light layout is not the best fit.
02 Is this solar light suitable for campgrounds and RV parks?
Yes. Campgrounds and RV parks are a strong use case because the self-contained solar system can provide area lighting without trenching electrical cable to every lighting point.
Actual fixture quantity and placement should still be planned around the site layout, desired light levels, trees, buildings and available solar exposure.
03 How bright is the SML-12?
The 12W LED system can produce up to 1,800 lumens at full output.
Brightness at ground level also depends on mounting height, distance from the fixture and the geometry of the installation.
04 How does the motion-responsive lighting work?
The light operates automatically after dark. When movement is detected, it increases to a brighter output and then returns to its normal lighting level after movement ceases.
This behavior provides brighter illumination when activity is present while reducing unnecessary high-output operation when the area is quiet.
05 What does the remote control do?
The included remote control provides six lighting settings so the fixture can be adapted to different locations and operating needs.
This is particularly useful when the light is installed high on a pole and routine direct access to the fixture would be inconvenient.
06 What pole sizes can be used?
The light can be installed on poles from approximately 8 to 18 feet tall and supports poles up to 2.25 inches in diameter. Wall-mount hardware is also included.
Always confirm that the chosen pole or wall structure is appropriate for the fixture and local installation conditions.
07 How much area can one light cover?
As a reference, mounting the light at about 7 feet provides approximately a 30-foot-diameter illuminated area, while a 10-foot mounting height provides approximately a 40-foot-diameter area.
These figures are useful for initial layout planning, but actual perceived coverage varies with surroundings, mounting conditions and the light level required.
08 How long does the solar light take to charge?
A full charge requires approximately 6–8 hours of strong sunlight.
Solar charging varies with season, cloud cover, shade and panel exposure, so real-world charging time can be longer in less favorable conditions.
09 How far apart should multiple SML-12 lights be installed?
A reference spacing of approximately 24–30 feet can be used as an initial planning point when installing multiple fixtures.
Final spacing should be adjusted for mounting height, obstacles, desired uniformity and the actual lighting requirements of the parking area, campground, pathway or other site.
