The SSL-40 combines 4,400-lumen high output with a 60-watt monocrystalline solar panel, higher installation capability and IP67 protection. It is designed for sites where stronger output and wider fixture spacing matter more than compact residential scale.

01 What kind of site is the SSL-40 designed for?
The SSL-40 is a high-output solar area light suited to parking areas, private roads, perimeter zones and other larger outdoor spaces where a self-contained fixture can be mounted at street-light height.
It should still be selected according to the dimensions and lighting requirements of the actual site rather than wattage alone.
02 Is 4,400 lumens enough for a commercial parking lot?
4,400 lumens gives the SSL-40 substantially more output than small pathway or residential accent lights, but a complete commercial parking lot cannot be sized from lumen output alone.
Required ground-level illuminance, uniformity, mounting height, fixture positions, obstacles and local requirements determine how many lights a project actually needs.
03 How high should the SSL-40 be installed?
The recommended installation height is approximately 4–6 meters (15–20 ft). Mounting height changes both the area over which light is distributed and the intensity that reaches the ground.
Choose the final height together with fixture position, site geometry and the structural requirements of the pole or mounting point.
04 How far apart can SSL-40 fixtures be installed?
A spacing of more than 25 meters (80 ft) can be used as an initial planning reference for the SSL-40. It is not a universal spacing rule.
Actual spacing should be determined by mounting height, desired uniformity, obstructions, site geometry and the illumination required between fixtures.
05 Does the SSL-40 operate automatically at night?
Yes. The fixture is designed for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation. It turns on after dark, increases output when movement is detected and returns to its normal nighttime level after activity subsides.
This provides continuous nighttime operation without requiring a manual switch.
06 How long does the SSL-40 need to charge?
A full charge requires approximately 6–8 hours of strong direct sunlight. Actual daily charging varies with season, cloud cover, shade, panel orientation and the amount of unobstructed sun reaching the integrated panel.
Install the fixture where buildings, trees and other obstructions will not substantially shade the solar panel during the main charging hours.
07 How long can the SSL-40 operate through poor weather?
With the battery fully charged, backup capacity can reach up to four nights under suitable operating conditions. Consecutive cloudy days reduce the amount of solar energy restored to the battery, so available runtime can decline as low-sun conditions continue.
Treat the multi-night figure as reserve capacity rather than a guarantee of identical performance in every season or climate.
08 Does the SSL-40 require underground electrical wiring?
No grid-power connection is required for normal operation. The solar panel, rechargeable battery, LEDs and automatic controls form a self-contained lighting system, eliminating the need to trench a mains electrical feed to the fixture.
A suitable pole or structural mounting point is still required, and professional installation may be appropriate for commercial sites or work at height.
09 What does IP67 mean for an outdoor solar street light?
IP67 indicates a high level of protection against dust and water ingress, making the enclosure appropriate for exposed outdoor installations.
The rating does not eliminate the need for correct mounting, drainage, routine inspection or installation practices appropriate to the site.
